Hey all just wondering this is a very good suggestion if you see it from my point of it, right there has been many times where my unit has been pinned by a Sniper or incoming small arms fire.
Durring those times I have put into a request to the CO to get squad 3 which would be armor from memory and we would use that as shelter, now what Im getting at is that the only way I was able to talk to the Gunner of the tank was the type.
So what I am suggesting is that can we have someway of talking to CO of the tank? like seen in this picture and video.

I have marked where the raidio is---->

Also a video of a operation in Fallujah and idea of what my squad was in durring a PR mission as described.--->

the Scene is 3:55.

AND YES I KNOW THERES been threads about communicating with Tank crews etc.

Good idea but this has been discussed before. As far as i know the VOIP is hardcoded and unable to be changed.

Bad Idea = Your stuck speaking to the tank at the back then suddenly:

Tank Driver [Teamkills]Soldier

This is another case where a TS/Vent server is needed to round out the comms.
It's a PIA but it would give more channels for better coordination.

All we need is local talk, it would deal with vehicles, and infantry. Although it is not possible.
It would be cool.

What about bribing someone from EA to un-hardcode some things ?

What soraflair said, but its a nice suggestion.
A squad with 4 infantry and 2 tank crew works ok. Its the best you can do without comms from a commander using the resources available in the game.

local voip is great. but hardcoded and there is nothing anywhere about modability of that.

the best we can do is make the cmdr role more interesting and then SL1 can talk to CMDR and ask for ARMORSL to do what SL1 needs.

I *really* wish there was an SL to SL broadcast channel, but failing that we're just going to try our best to ensure that the CMDR role is always occupied and rely on the cmdr to relay and coordinate.
