TK

Post by Deadmonkiefart »

In the 5 months I have been playing, I have been Tked intentionally only twice.
The first time was about a month ago when I got a sniper kit(which a never do) on airport. I climbed up on a roof overlooking the jets and got just 4 kills before I heard a bangbangbangbangbang and I went to the critically wounded view to see a teammate looking down on me with his G-3. He picked up my kit and promptly died due to picking up the limited kit of someone he just TKed. It was actually kind of entertaining.

The second time was when I was going to try out an A-10 for the first time. I just saw one go down, so I went over to the airfield. I made sure there was noone else there so that I would not be crowding the runway and wasting time like I usually see people doing. My own commander went on a TKing rampage and killed everyone on the runway for no apparent reason(we were winning by alot) and was kicked.

Anyone else have any entertaining TK stories?

Didn't you get kicked from DevFile for excessive TKing like just a little while ago?

Those were the only intentional Tks I have ever done. It was really annoying that my team had been trying to fight those US wallglitchers and complaining about it all the time only to do it themselves when the US were kicked. Sorry I really hate hyppocrites. Especially when they are in my squad and I warned them. However there were only three of them and I was not kicked for excessive TKing.

About 20 mins ago I was UK on Airport. Had killed a machinegunner on the MEC team (second time that game, same guy, same kit, same building, well behind all the action...) and was toting it around adding some nice fire power to my advances. I saw the UK heavy transport roll up, so decided to dash twords it. Top gunner cut me down.

How do you know that it was intentional?

I find that the majority of people still punish, even when it is a complete mistake. :-(

I made a circle of claymores, then asked people to get in the circle for a photo op.

That always attracts many ppl.

They all get in , BOOOm, 9 teamkills. This is of course when the blizt signal is going off, we are losing, we are winning, or im about ot leave :)

Im lucky enough to have never been TKd in a way i'd consider intentional in the PR mod.

Being TKd by someone who's damn sure you're on his team is the action of a retarded player, TKs by teammates in a mod with limited/delayed nametags is more acceptable (if understandably frustrating) and will happen. If anything its a reflection of how tense players get.

On some maps, uniform camo colour is not instantly distinctive (rightly so) foliage is dense, the minimap is less demanding than the view down your sights as your life is on the line and movement is what your aiming at.

I'd be a liar if i said i wasnt pissed off at being shot by friendlies in those circumstances, but id be an even bigger one if i claimed i had never done the same myself and felt like a twat :) Personally, i dont take it badly, no need to have a paddywack and punish, its a game (albeit, a tense one) we play for entertainment.

Best TK so far was yesterday on IGI Britmaps server on GhostTrain, my squad was in the bunker at north bridge, bloke fired his UGL at enemies crossing the bridge, fecked it, the shell bounced off the roof of the INSIDE of the bunker and killed all four of us...

TK all round, very humorous, not a punish in sight :)

It happens.

I'll teamkill occasionally. Some guy tried to steal my bike after I had defended it against a horde of USMC... the nerve of that guy... and some dumbass shot me from a few meters away. I returned the favor with a burst. Do you shoot friendlies intentionally IRL? No, and this is Project Reality. Great, I just contradicted myself; however, I still think I'm justified in my actions.

lol @ Cerberus..............tisk tisk the nerve of that guy.

Ive had a squadmate blow up my whole squad with an RPG aimed at the ground. He was leaving and we said it was ok so it was cool.

I only intentionally TK the TKers.
Like on Muttrah, someone was trying to TK our LB pilot so he could fly...so I shot him in the back of the head. Likewise, some idiot kept on redlining one of my squad mates so I crept up behind him and knifed him. Felt so good.

Teamkillers are a problem that get weeded out, usually by the mod (and mature community) itself.

The community must always remain alert to those kinds of players and ban them permanently from their servers. I would recommend you guys to avoid teamkilling. If it's self-defense from an intentional teamkiller then that's another story, but that's as far as it goes.

On the other hand, these kinds of threads only attract people that believe that teamkilling is something that can be justified, and we even have Mr.danthemanbuddy here, who even thinks that teamkilling is something funny.

Under no circumstance is teamkilling justified and this is the only message that the entire community should always remember. This is not vBF2 where you teamkill your way to victory.

On another note, always remember to forgive Accidental teamkills.
