Please correct me if I am wrong, but I know that in some explosive projectiles and missles there are timing devices to arm the weapon once it is a certain distance from the launching position as to keep crews and vehicles safe.
Could this be implemented on more weapons since it is already on launcher fired grenades?

I don't know if Soraflair is joking; but DancingCorpse is right, there are minimum effective ranges for weapons like tow missles, and other heavy ordnance.

Hmmm, this would eliminate a lot of unfortunate friendly fire incidents.

Well think on some of the ammo i have used with the Carl Gustav there was a timer function on the grenade it self.
Cant remember if it was a timer or a distance setting though. (To many years since i used that good old weapon)
