We were having a player commendation thread at games.bigdy.net and I chose to commend the humble noob - cause we were all there once.

...but we're all getting better at it... and it's a strange kind of socialising experience - meeting people, joking around, and then blowing their heads off
repetitively...

Im pretty sure I didnt start out going "OMG THIS MOD SUK0RZ WHERE IS MY CROSSHAIRZ"

lol but yeah I did do some stupid stuff in BF2. I tryed to get into the UAV trailer as a commander! I spent like 5 minutes but I couldnt get in so I gave up then found out you cant get in

The first day I played the game I was commanding and my entire team was yelling at me b/c I was hiding and not rushing into the firefight...

One of my first times playing I would type messages to my team using the global chat, involving where to drop the people in the chopper, ill go blow the artillery, etc. Needless to say I found out very quickly that there is also a team chat and a squad chat

Definition of a dyslexic: someone who wakes up in the middle of the night and starts wondering about whether there really is a Dog.

Grenade launchers are notorious for mishaps... mining roads tends to clear out a few TK's, too... even after ages of playing and spending like five minutes warning your team about them through chat... Heavy AT self-immolations through standing too close to a static when firing... Insta-prone and shoot is great but tends to mow down friendlies a little too easily... and the most embarassing: OK'ing a dodgy artillery strike call and killing one or two of your own squads... one of my fave techniques is mining vehicles... but being under the vehicle after placing the mine when someone jumps in can get a little painful... forgetting to reload... forgetting to set the weapon firing group selector correctly... forgetting to shoot because you have been on so many different sides you forget momentarily which one you are fighting for...

Ah yes, I remember those days.
Luckily for me, I never made any large nooby mistakes. Mine were all small ones, the kind that you sneak a look to either side to see if anyone witnessed your stupidity.
