Some minor suggestions
1: Not quite sure where you got the AK47 sound in this game, but I'd rather see it replaced with the AK101 sound. As a 7.62 caliber rifle it should sound more viscious.
2: Remove the optical sights on Insurgent RPG7, the iron-sights are more often used.
3: Just remove the spec-ops class completely. The battles should be between conventional armies. Either that, or do something about the M4, remove its optical sights, lower its accuracy, etc. At its current state, that rifle is just plain overpowered.
There you go! A few somewhat easily changeable suggestions that I feel would enhance realism in the mod.

1. it's not bad right now but more bark is always welcome
2. hopefully we might eventually see the realistic RPG optical sights
3. couldn't agree more - the amount of problems just calling a class spec ops in this mod has caused on these forums is legendary. Everyone seems to want their particular favourite 'specials' ingame when PRM is not about that at all

On the spec-ops class...it seems to me that it would make more sense as a special kit you have to request through the provisions system. IRL light machineguns are assigned atleast 1 or 2 to every sqaud...so why do you have to request a special kit to be an automatic riflemen, yet there are no comparable restrictions to being special forces?

Don't complain about the sounds, as they depend on tte user and soundcard.
The RPG ironsights has been suggested before, and I think they are going to change, but I woulnd't know as I'm not a Dev.
To me they sound great. (Pistols do sound weak, but I now understand how the pistol works, you have to aim below your target cause the ironsights don't work.)

Uh... What kind of argument is this? A different sound card won't give you a totally different sound.El_Vikingo wrote:Don't complain about the sounds, as they depend on tte user and soundcard.
This is not about user preference, fact is that a AK47 doesn't sound that weak, and as this is a realism mod. they should stick to facts, not preferences.

I never said video card. Video cards don't process the sound.
Sound cards do.
I don't want this to be some flame, but you should do a little research/ and the search function.

Point still stands, a different sound card won't give you a totally new sound.

WTF are you on about!?!?!Semi wrote:The sound cards have a life of their own then?
I'm sure that on some computers, AK47 fire sounds like random farm animal noises, and on others it will sound like an airplane.
A different video card won't give you a totally new sound!

Ok, I'll try to make this easy.
We have concluded that each sound card, will produce its own different sound for different things.
Lets say I put this card into my computer.

Then I run PR, I choose the chinese grenade launcher assault guy, I fire one shot with the AK47.
What sound will I hear?
