Armor Squad

Post by danthemanbuddy »

Had fun tonight being Armor Leader. Had a great series of commanders and assisting teamates.

At the peak of our performance, we had full squad all with mics, 3 apcs, 2 humvees, 2 abrams, 1 repair humvee and a lot of supply crates.
Other teamates and commander joined in our defense.

We got lucky as enemies couldn't find keys (bug they coudln't drive cars) and we only got jihaded once near the end of the round.

Thanks to Leo, BB, redolphin, and all you guys. Got the battlerecorder and I will be sure to post a video. Join my squad on devfile ARMOR VOIP

Squads are six guys, right? Did you have 2 squads working together communicating via the Commander?

With some bug you can match a squad to have even eight players, I have been in a squad with seven guys often so that would not even be a surpise :P

Ahh, I was playing that round, I had an M16 (USMC AP kit) as insurgents that I was using to hit guys crossing towards the city, using the binocs from the ruins south of NVCP.

Then I ran out of ammo, snuck all the way around back, crawled up to your westernmost APC, resupplied (first time I've ever resupplied on an active APC as an insurgent! he was busy shooting ;) ), killed one USMC who spawned, and then some ****ing asshat on our team tried being a hero, and even though I was right in front of him, he shot an RPG at it, killing me, getting the attention of the APC, and getting himself killed.

I was so unbelievably ****ing pissed. Once I crawled back a little, I would've had a field day picking USMC off with the M16. As it stood, I already had taken out about 15 without taking so much as a shot back.

But alas, some people want all the glory.

Later in the round, I jumped from on top of a building down onto the turret of an Abrams, placed my two C4 on it, and *BAM* ... before I could get out my detonator, Coatimundi31 (who is an absolute retard, fyi, and one of the biggest rampant "SEE ANYTHING THAT MOVES AND SHOOT IT" TKers around) placed C4 on it also, and blew it up. It gave me the kill, but it said I TKed him. Naturally he punished. I would really enjoy hurting people like that in real life.

In one of my fraps clips, it shows a jihad car coming toward us and at 150 m 1 second after it is seen, it is taken out by 2 hits , tank and apc :)

We just had some stragglers and the commander working with us.
Tommorrow you can join me :)

Gah I saw you guys there in the desert, I was an insurgent, I had the bug where I cant drive vehicles so no carbombs. So, I just layed down and took pot shots lol. But its frustrating see all you guys out there and not being able to take you out!

To be honest, all you had to do was start from the ruins. There was a bunch of "canals" in the desert that you could get to about literally 10 meters of the westernmost APC without being seen. I think had I gone mechanic I could've singlehandedly taken out a tank and APC on one run. Not once did I see any infantry, tank, or APC take a look west.

I mean, I literally rearmed on their APC while it was shooting at our guys. Had I any IEDs, I could've planted some, rearmed, ran for dear life to more armor blown the first set, planted more, and blown that as fast as possible... not even bother to run away :o

On the other hand though, the majority of the UNMOVEABLE spawn cars were closer to the mosque, so it was a hike to go all the way around to ruins. Part of what PRs about though...

That was a good round, to be more precise
We had 2 tank gunners, 3 APC gunners and one BH pilot who would fly us back to get kits (that's the APC you see in the picture)

We did very well, truthfully, not point wise, but everything else was great. The very first vehicle we lost was at 300 tickets for the USMC I think.

Also, a related thread I made n'here

We didn't have the luxury of an extra squad, sorry.

Were you guys on TS or Vent?

And we weren't too far off, 2 Abrams, 3 APCs, 1 or 2 HMVVs and 1 Support Jeep

Hey I remember seeing you guys from 400 feet in the A10. You were sitting back hammering the industrial flag pretty good.

I was trying to flush out the 2 insurgent punks that were under the bridge...

Funniest part about this is that while all this armor and whatnot were outside of industry, USMC hadn't come close to capturing facility... if we (the insurgents) were smart, we would've just sat back and MADE you guys come into the city. People don't have the patience for that I guess :p
