Dolphin Diving

I've been away from PR for many months and recently got back into it. It's a wonderful mod but what about dolphin diving? Hasn't been corrected yet? I still see it a LOT and it's so annoying.

but you can mod that problem, 2142 did it i hear. rename it dolphin diving sounds gay.

Just remove the spacebar from all the keyboards.

dolphin diving, yes have dolphins swimming on some more naval maps.

EA, in their eternal brilliance, has hardcoded that and it cannot be changed.
The SAW class has a small delay now but the nilla-tards are still there.

2142 has alot of things that cant be done in bf2, as DiCE are not bound by hardcoding.

But then i would be the almighty uber tactical player as i use my right shift button! :D

Seriously though, its probably the only thing still on PR that i hate (apart from Bunny Hopping), it just ruins the game when every time a guy runs around a corner he falls to his belly and starts firing wildly. We need to get it changed, its not realistic and it doesnt help gameplay.

You guys mean instaproning, right? Dolphin diving was fixed by EA a long time ago.

well, in real combat, you do hit the deck when you come under fire.

every time you go around a corner?, every time you enter a room?

Yes, i agree that you hit the dirt when you come under fire but im on about the people that just spam it, if only a time limit of 1 or so seconds could be put on it, or a little wounded haze to show that youve hit the ground pretty hard.

well they do but while they do they dont fire back with pin point accuracy do they ?

Well dev's is it or is it not possible to iplement a delay on firing when going prone ??

I just want anything to be done for it. It's my biggest complaint about PR.

Well it should be partially fixed once the up the zoomed in speed of movement and people walk around that way most of the time, and they find an animator to get the slow ironsights for everybody.

Exactly. Dolphing Diving is no longer a problem.

Maybe a big "ouch" sound, when you go prone, unless you kneel first, then go prone?
Would help at CQB, so when some camper goes prone around the corner to get a better aim, if you come that way, you'll hear him and choose to throw a grenade instead of rushing in...

well, I dont think that an ouch, will do much when you are bieng shot at.

But when you have been trained, you hit the deck hard and fast, when you come under fire and start firing back immediately. It is called REEF, and because of your training (with the British Anyway) you are accurate and if you are close enough, you go in with a bayonet attached.

i can tell you right now that there is no way in hell you can hit the ground and hit a target with a gun at the same time. its not possible as i have tried.
