Artillery

ARTY KITS
_ _ _ _ _ _

Have you done some kind of arty callin system (ACS)? I if not you should!

I'd like to have two types of arty calls. Heavy (Howizer) and light (mortar).

When you are planning attack you could call up some heavy fire to soft your enemies. Of course Heavy arty would be very effective and beacause of that some limits could be nice. About 5 times of use per round. After calling atillery the dealy between call and firts rounds hittin onto ground would be some +30 sec.

Mortar fire, shouldn't be so effective than heavy fire, but delay between call to first rounds would be like 10 - 15 sec. Mortars could be used to defence since it's shooting time is quiker and enemies shouldn't be able to move out off target area. Mortar fire could be unlimited like artillery in ordinary BF2

WEAPON CLASS

While playing BF1942 there was specially one thing that I hate. Unrealistic weapon class. I hope that you don't add pistol to every single soldier. That wouldn't be realistick!
Also some limits to weapons would be nice. In bf1942 realistick mod Finnwars is this kind of weapon system:
1. sniper, 2. SMG, unlimided rifle soldiers, 2. LMG and 2. engineer
I think that it's is really workin system because in war not every enemy you come across have SMG or sniper.

You know, if you guys don't soon stop me I'll fil up your forum with all kind of suggestions Big Grin

Halvor2 your opinions are more then welcome here  You re-stating the opinions of many others that have already posted them is not so welcome  Stating what the Devs "should" do will not get you as far as words like "perhaps", "maybe", "it would be nice if.." (ok that last one was more then a word :p

Take a read through the guide as it explains some things on weapon loadouts and class limiting already in place (kit requesting). There are several threads on artillery already on here, do a search and read through them to see what was discussed ie. artillery types, mortars, laser designators. I think the Devs are working on re-doing the artillery.

I hope you find what your looking for in your readings.

Funny man, good to see a new guy around here and obviously to the game as well. Check/Search the forums and youtube for the training videos and information. You obviously gave some good suggestions as they are already implemented in the game for the most part. So yeah man, make sure you dont start flying the aircraft until you get a good feel for it(WAY diff from bf2) and have practiced a little, make sure you have a headset, dont be Squad Leader until you are a really good soldier, learn to use the kit system/rally points etc. Good luck hombre and make sure you seriously watch the videos and readup...it takes a bit to learn how to soldier around here.

Oh yeah and nm the jackass posts that are sure to come, the game is tight and much better in-game!
