Do you all have ADH freaking D or something?

Post by Expendable Grunt »

Ugh -- Getting sorta sick of getting in a bunker, Humvee, boat or FAV and having the person(s) on the machine gun just randomly going hog-wild on the damn thing and blowing all the ammo for it...not only is the ammo gone, but they've announced where we are, blown our cover (for bunkers, sometimes Humvee's don't get noticed too), but then when we DO get some enemies coming down on our position, they've the bright idea of GETTING OUT OF THE MG and using their assault rifles instead!

Or worse, my squad is moving through out some urban environment, taking great cover, moving behind the enemy lines and trying to come up and supprise them, but no, some dipstick has to fire his weapon off because he's too simple to understand what a "silent" approach means.

Yeah, I know these situations... and when they not get out of the gun, they block it, ignore enemies even right infront of you and get shot.
I also hate when people fire the BH gatlings for fun, then you can't tell when they really have a target... :S

I though this thread was about kidneys...

just kick'em out of your squad when they dont obey an order.

I've told people many times, and the others do as I say, except for one dickhead.

I had this about 10 mins ago in TG in Ghosttrain. As PLA, we were inside the tunnel, and I locked up the door. A squad followed us in, so we assumed they wished to help out defending. No no ... they were moaning how boring it was

Three minutes is way too generous. It's practically impossible to set up an ambush where you have to wait more than 20 seconds on a public server. River Qwai, we go straight for the CN artillery. Two spec ops are going down to take the arty out and the rest is laying in the grass above. A tank moves out of the CN-base. No probs so far, he can't see us in the grass. Our tourette's syndrome trigger finger AT guy announces "he's going to take it out" and stands up(!), runs 5m or maybe it was feet. The tank spots him and start pounding the hill with all he's got. Luckily the charges were already ticking, but we didn't get out alive.

Up until that I had never heard someone get pissed on VOIP and curse another squad member like that. Not even after really stupid squad team kills.

Actually, last night I had a couple of vets plus some mature sounding americans in my squad on iGi server playing as USMC on Al Basrah.

When casually asked to proceed to CP's, they did. When asked to stay put and defend, they did!

Although the new players were underestimating the power of weapons and how fast it is to die by putting themselves in harms way too often, generally I saw enlightened playing and people were slapping themselves on the back for teamwork.

I hate when people do that too. It takes all my self control not to kick them from the server.

Exactly!!

I witnessed hillarity one night over this exact issue,.....I joined a server and jumped into a pretty good squad, I just followed the other 3 guys lead I could tell they knew each other so I just tagged along and asked what they needed me to do. Well a few minutes later we got another squad mate that was very chatty with comments like "I hate this map", "should I go get a chopper" and "I think I saw something" every 30 seconds (you could hear the frustration in the other guys voices) I was amused.

So under agreement with the commander we attempt sneak into the city in AlBasra, we sweep wide and come from the north along the river trying to avoid contact until we can set-up a rally point in town and do some recon and be a pain in the city to slow reinforcments coming to help the fight on the NE outskirts.

We stumble upon a full spawn car moving toward us slow with 3 guys escorting it on the street (they were all in a squad and wanted to put the car in a good hiding place) our SL barks orders and we scatter and take cover waiting for the spawn car to get closer.

Well here goes our chatty little buddy out into the middle of the street taking pot-shots at the car dwon the street, they speed up and take off the other guys run down an alley. Leaving our little guy in the street alone......

I hear 2 words...."Do it"...........(see our friend get kicked from the squad) and then one guy walks up to him with his pistol and TKs him with 2 shots to the head in the middle of the street.
Totally sureal and hillarious......next I hear "Lets move out and try and find that spawn car"........................I respond "I guess it's either that or a few bullets in the head so sure lets go find them.".........................mild chuckles are heard. Pretty funny, couldn't have scripted it better, wish battle recorder was on.

That is some funny sht. I guess people assume a game about war means non stop shooting.

I can't stand when people get into a vehicle/chopper and start firing away at nothing! You never know when its for real or just them screwing around. I find this in APC's allot too, in the middle of EJOD people are spawning in and whithin 2 seconds there firing away at nothing.

When I first get into a gun position sometimes I will fire one single round off to let the driver know Im ready (no not with the 105mm  ).

If they're in your squad, a quick snap on VOIP usually makes them stop.

Hehe, I sometimes do it, like when I anticipate enemies. For example, during the beginning of Op Ghost Train when everyones tryin to cap the flags. I give it some time, then I shoot into the fog.

BAH! I hate it when that happens. Especially when the guy isn't even Heavy AT, and he shoots the tank in the front. Its like, wow, you just succeeded in doing no damage to the tank, and getting us ALL killed... Good job!

What really pisses me off is when you are manning a vehicle mounted MG, laying down some cover fire to allow your squad to advance or somesuch, and some random jumps in your vehicle and drives off, leaving you shouting impotently into your mic.

Just blow it up with an AT and blame it on a SLAM placed on the car as a trap for a near by enemy.
