Medics cant self heal in 0.6. Not sure i agree with that, but lets look at another issue.

The rifleman medic, with infinite field dressings CAN self heal, add to that the free ammo, subtract the lack of shock paddles (but you can heal others with your field dressing spam).

so..

rifleman=medic
+(selfheal+ammo+scoped gun+frag nades)
- (shock paddles+health map indicators)

clearly an issue.

Well, medics can still self-heal, but the real issue is that there is another thread already discussing this exact topic that is very active at the moment. You wouldn't even have to use search to find it...

The verbal brutality found on forums is often reminiscent of the physical brutality found in first person shooters, except that forums allow those with slower reflexes to join the carnage without a handicap.

We even have a rifleman medic? I thought, medics will be packed in little kits from now on :p

infinite field dressings are a rifleman set on a pile of ammo bags using them for field dressings.

i saw the other thread, i am not discussing the medic issue i understand the devs will have thought this through and are likely unwilling to change their POV. i am discussing riflemen, who might i add have an entreching tool and bino's suggested.

Maybe a limitation on ammobags or something could resolves this issue? oh, i didnt see the rifleman point had been discussed, sorry.

Not a really big issue, since its a bit impractical during combat, where youre on the run...

i believe the bigger problem is with the rifleman having illimited field dressing.... Maybe if instead of needing ammo bags to resupply your field dressing, you would need to stay close to a medic bag, that could fix part of the problem (for the rifleman class at least....)

Ah, yes, I was a little hard on you since the rifleman/ammo/dressings issues was discussed in that thread but not by the OP. Sorry.

Yeah Neph, that quote from egg, seems fair enough!

Im a bit of a rifleman nut.... the people who squad with me enough figure im gonna be rifleman.... :D loved the kit since it was "Assault" with the ammo/nubetubes... haven't taken grenadier since really..

On topic though - I do think thats a bit much for a rifleman to have, but at least its a RIFLEMAN a kit that can have purpose/be effective ( I don't hate spec-op lonewolfs NOT AT ALL /sarcasm )

So as of the WIP changelog of .6 seems rifleman are going to be a very solid anti-infantry kit. ( along with the probally new limited grenadier )

But yeah, agreed, rifleman field dressing meds, ive been using it since field dressings popped up in PR ( Been so long I can't even remember O.o )

Think Top cat the great said once about the devs about another suggestion

"They are either working on it, going to work on it, or feel its a complete waste of time/resources"

So seems like its something that will be changed far off :)

I don't expect much, I mean not like were paying these guys for this mod, and it isn't a 1.0+ version so heck, anything I get is free, a bug here or there, still love it.

Shortened Version: Field Dressings + Rifleman Bags = Kinda Cheap, but not easy to fix :D

I swear theres been at least 2 other threads about this this week alone. On topic though, while it is possible to keep yourself alive as a rifleman with field dressings, its not very practical. If your in the middle of a firefight, its much faster to have a medic heal you than to lay down all your ammo and wait for 3 or 4 field dressings to be resupplied.

yeah, but you just start nading (and smoking) everywhere and you got plenty of time to heal.....

Aye, it takes a while to replenish anyways, which puts the rifleman out of the fight for a while.
