So I was looking at pictures of the Transport Copters with the ramps in PR, and was wondering if it is possible to drive a jeep into the back? Or even an APC?

Remember the large landing boats in forgotten hope that had difficults with that?
And now think of a fast moving chopper. They would be destroyed in a few seconds.
It's the same reason why they removed the LCAC.

Man if I ever design a shooter engine (dunno if a mod would be a good way to make this off another engine) I'd base it around stuff like things going inside other vehicles and staying there due to friction...

They were going to put the LCAC in BF2? Or PR?
Shove stuff into the C130? Why would you do that when you can have fun hijacking your opponents and flying around like an idiot?

joint ops had a really nice collision detection, to bad EA can't steal/buy some stuff from them.

Heck BFV winching stuff! We need to beable to drop a rope from a Chinook and pick up your friendly neighborhood jeeps... Or better yet.
Take a Chinook and pick up an not so friendly insurgent BMP. Then lift them all up and drop them on an enemy tank. Ya... Fun.

Definitely. I posted in a thread a while back showing the chronology between the games -- only like 2 years tops between each of them, really.
What BF2 is, is Dice/EA seeing how popular DC was and trying to cash in on it.

I think if we could get the guys who made DC/BF, ArmA, and Joint ops together they could make a pretty kick *** game. all 3 engines could be improved from the other engine, i.e. collision could be from joint ops, models/mapping from the DC/BF guys and tweaks/gameplay from ArmA

If dreams are what you're after. How about PR with free aim, 2km view distances and a 400sqkm map. Not to mention a climbing system instead of jumping....and and and (for me) a logarithmic sound engine that lets you incorporate convolution reverb programs in game -drools-
