Found this thread from awhile back

Was wondering with everything new in 0.5/6 with pilot kits and all, is it possibly to modify the entry points so when the jet is in air, and the pilot ejects he ends up mabye a few feet above the cockpit, and when on ground ready to take off make it exit out like normal. I know it would take lot of work to eject out of the cokpit with the chair, but all im asking is a new exit point :)

Possible solution:
Make the exit point for the normal seat 30m over the plane.
Make a second invisible seat with an exit point on the ground. You would die if you stay more than 5 seconds in this exit seat.

BF2142 had a pod system that I remember for ejecting from those hovering gunship things. I only played the demo, but if I recall correctly, on the ground one could just hop out of the gunship normally but inflight you would be in a pod that dropped you safely to the ground.

If I'm not mistaken, BF2142 is essentially the same engine as BF2 with a few modifications. With that in mind, it may somehow be possible to do such a thing ejection seats.

Hate to be off-topic, but you've already previously stated that
in this thread.

So far, I like Bubba's idea the most, with having an alternate
seat in the plane. It seems to be the easiest to do and it does
what it needs to do.

Add an effect of an non damage explosion from the cockpit and autodeploy chute maybe :D

I'm sure using something like the planes gears could work out (over a certain altitude), the bailing changes somehow!

I thought the thread title said "Erect! Erect!", you must understand I didn't have my contacts in. I was extremely disappointed after scouring the thread for the promised imagery.

Hmm, if this worked out, with the vehicle in motion or in air making the exit point a different location, then could this open the door for an alternative to fast roping? Rather than sliding down, just instantly teleport from Seat to Surface depending on the elevation of (get to) de Choppa?

could the exit point be connected with the weels of the plane ? so that when you are in the air and the landinggear is in the jet you exit via the seat and with the gear out you just exit the normal way

Yes ive actually Done this when i was hit in a Su-25 so heres the Story and what to do:

Flying over after a Attack hit by a Linebacker Gun and 1 Missile, Plane is now Un Responsive so i Decrease Speed and Eject (i wish But i exited) and Bailed Safly, also helps if your in a Slow Dive then youl Miss the Tail, also suggest you Pull a HALO then call for a Evac (great Teamwork if someone does)
