Binoculars / spotter monocular
Wouldn’t have started a whole new post for this, but I don’t know where else to put it without bringing a really old thread to life.
What about some binoculars for Special Forces class? Not much for realism but if they could double function as a sighting device and a laser target indicator, that would rule (click and adds an icon to the map that only pilots can see to drop bombs on) but most of all, as we all know, snipers operate in 2 man teams. If the Special Forces class could have a spotters monocular with good zoom and click to spot functions, a spec force guy could pare up with a sniper and be very effective. Once you make your changes to the sniper rifle, I think most misses will be human error, and correctable. If your spotter can tell you over VOIP where your last round landed, you could get the guy in the next shot, thus encouraging cooperation. They could also click on a target to ‘spot it’ and possibly have that person highlighted on the snipers screens so that the spotter really can spot targets.

yes that makes a whole lot of sense, adding a binocular is comparable to making the game last three days so you can crawl across the map for a single shot, I sure was thinking that when it was suggested, cause adding binoculars is like soooo hardcore realism I can't take it.
grow up, there's nothing I hate more when people pull this stupid **** like "if you really want realism the game should delete itself when you die"

i dont see how adding binoculars is going to make it 'hardcore realism' or attribute to someone crawling 3 days across a map for a single shot, which im sure wont be the case. binoculars can be used in battle to see where an enemy is firing from (which, unless they have a really really really really good spot, wont take 3 days. binoculars are commonplace on the battlefield. adding them makes perfect sense in my opinion.

Binoculars would be very usefull, I rember playing bfv and after i would snipe into a crowd they would all look around at each other and then pull out binoculars to try to spot me. Or for squad leader to hang back and be able to see his squad through binoculars to give orders and provide intel. This keeps him (the spawn) out of harms way but still lets him do his job. Or for when you are setting up an ambush and want to see them coming before they see you. Binoculars are a vital part of any soldiers arsenal, and should be included in this mod.

blah commanders. my view is that they shouldnt be able to be out in the field, give them a command truck or something, take away their god powers. give them a map showing where their squad leaders are. and give them a radio to tell them where to go and allow them to direct artillery MAYBE.
i say give binocs to sharpshooters, squad leaders and if there is a tank commander class, hook them up too

Hate the commander mode, it just isnt cake.
- Bring back mobile artillery I say!!!!!
Be nice if they could make the satelite scan a lot fuzzier (like snow on your tv - like the tv guided screens)
IMO
