Just getting back into PR

Hey everyone,

I played PR months ago on one of the older versions so I'm downloading the latest atm.

Just wanted to say hi really.

I've got BF2 and the Spec Forces exp pack and played them quite a bit, though never in a clan/squad as don't have a lot of time.

I'm quite capable of being either a squad member or leader. Not been a commander often though. I usually play as medic or assault, though I'm an all-rounder really. I'll do whatever needs doing and depending on the level. I have a headset/mic too which I always use. I only got it for BF2

oh, the one thing I won't ever do is pilot. I totally suck at it so there's no point in me wasting anyone's time or life

Is there any specific servers the regulars go on here most or official PR servers? I normally go on those with least ping like Thor's Brigade or one of the other European/UK ones.

anyway, have to re-read the player guide for the new stuff.

last version I played was 0.4 I think. I didn't realise there was a new one until most of the servers didn't load

Get 0.6, not 0.5, most of the pro players got that and 0.5 pubs really suck now

well I'll download 0.6, but I'm ok with 0.5 at the moment. I'm just starting to get used to setting up rally points and needing pilot/crew kits as that's all new to me. Plus I need to get used to some of the maps anyway as I'm sure they'll still be around in 0.6

What's so sucky about 0.5 anyway?

Blackhawk - oh yeah IGI, that's the UK one I used to go on. I normally find Thor's Brigade at the top of my server list (lowest ping) so am normally on there.

Does anyone else often have the problem of "Your connection is interrupted" or whatever it says? I've had that happen at least once every battle.
