your models
hey i do a bit of modeling myself however i dont do your type which is realisum and cars and stuff i do characters and i do photoshop , but also i was wondering what programes your use to model because i use Maya 7 and i dont know if thats the best for buildings and cars and stuff. i may even like to apply for a job maybe

As far as I know (which isn't too much)..
Maya is better for modelling organic objects and those with many complex curves.
3D Max is great for lower poly modelling (in comparison to the high poly work nowadays), primarily for games and the such.
Never the less, it's all about what you are used to more than what options are available... as there are many.

well you can do both low and high poly in either one of them, so as far as that their equal. Same thing for organic and anorganic, it's just a slightly different approach.
Maya has the edge in fluid dynamics though, but seeing the guys from Autodesk bought the guys from Maya, I think that's sorta lost
