Day To Night Map

Day To Night Map

I pretty much referrancing from the mod Battlefield Nights,but any chance of a Map that goes from a Dawn assault,and as the round progresses,the map goes to full Daylight,then towards the End of the round the map gets dark and lights come on?????Any chance this is possible to do?

i want to say hardcoded.

but an animated sky seems possible to me, if we can have animated clouds.

Arma has this, for those who don't know :)

Not even possible to do, engine sucks such way.

And people don't even play night maps, Bi Ming was on this evening, from 64 we came down to about 30 players....

Why so negative,the BF2 engine is a revolutionary engine,games today are still trying to stand up to it,or are having a hard time being better than it.Al Basrah would be fun in a sunset setting.And I played the map Street today on PR,it's awesome,has an awesome Lebanon feel to it,and the sound effects are cool.

The only way is to convert a map into a night map and have them `play after each other.

Maybe in hardcoding stuff....

And its not possible to change daytime on BF2 engine, its not almighty game engine of them all, you know...

I tried playing that game but it crashed whenever I got to around 40-50% maybe the other 34 people just couldn't get on.

Cant happen, one of the Devs said you need to premake the light maps for any object, if it went from day to night the light maps would have to render themselves.

simple awnser is no, its not possible with the BF2 engine. light settings etc are fixed at the start of the game, let alone chaining the sky box texture every min to make it lighter :p
