first custom map for PRMM pics inside

hey i have been working on this map for bf2 then when the PRMM come out iv rethought it and iv desided to try and make it work with the mod herers some screenshots of it its called Hospital

that looks really cool. i'd like to see it when it's finished. is there any kind of theme to the map? any other info?

well it takes place in afgnistan and its a small city suerounded by motions and small villageis in the hills

PS in the mod is there a chance of night vition if soo ill make a night vertion as well??

probably not but i can't be definete on that. anyway it sounds like a cool idea. if you need anyone to betatest.... well... *points finger at self* ;)

well theres alot of bugs and stuff to fix from when i brought it over from bf2 to the mod and the roadfs in the motions are veichals killerscuz iof the bumps so im working on smothing it out
i will need beta tests at some poits so u will be on my list ill have some editor shots soon.

I like!

It's great to finally see some truly open fields that you really need to use smoke cover and the cover hills to advance to. Buildings also seem to be much more useful since they provide great cover.

that sounds really cool. and looks it too. what sort of vehicles and stuff do you plan on putting in it? and what weapon would the troops mostly be using? cos on mashtuur its the sniper, karkand its becoming the SAW and that B*ST*RD AK THE MECS HAVE! they can run around corners shooting and rack up kills because of it! stupid full auto weapons. dang it you even gave them more choive with the burst fire too!

PS. is it true that COIP causes lag? cause all the servers with VOIP havent worked and have had lag. i was on a server this afternoon, quite a bit of lag but not TOO much but it was very annoying when trying to shoot in single shot etc. but it had far less lag than a server with VOIP.

as for vehlacles im planning the UH60, littlebird if i can get it in the map some how i need ot he code so i can selct it as a spwn object and for weapons i realy cant say but 90% of the map is in the moutions and the other 10% is in a open area city not all tight toghther liek in karkand so proanlt M4 and sniper thats my guess

make as many buildings as you can that will let you go inside i hate the buldings you cant go in it so dumb you cant have good urban fights if ever one is fighting in the street. looks good

hey ill consider the idea of more building that u can enter but my map is more not city based lol

And keep it that way :D

I love the fact that there is open terrain. It will make battles much more interesting.

It's looking good! Nice to see you've worked out the tools so it actually works for you. Mine just crash all the time when I get to the "Join Game" point, even when I avoid pressing the dreadded "Save All" button!

What program do you use? I have 3ds max 7, Would that work for map making?

Cause I would like to give map making a try.

Cant be THAT hard to learn... Cuase if it is I might have a hard time, I teach myself everything... who needs school. :-P

You can make the terrain in 3DS Max. Make a height map then apply it to a plane. There's a tutorial on this site somewhere how to do it. I looked and searched but for the life of me I can't see it!

hey i use the BF2 SDK ill get the link after for you.

also when you go to test your map sibce it crashes at "JoinGame" make the game so it runs in window mode and when u hit "joinGame" the message will come up telling you whats wrong then copie past and ill help you out.

as far as i know anyone can set up a dedicated server with the free ea server software. (that person won't be able to play/test though) so who-ever wants to sacrifice their time...
