Tankers Unite!
Is there anything that brings a better rush than throwing a Sabot round at lightning speed through anything the enemy can muster? Is there anything that brings a bigger smile to your face than knowing you are the most heavily armored and most lethal force in the field?
Tankers unite! Hoo-ah!

Killing a tank, with slams, C4, mines, or other AT weapons. Infantry UNITE!77SiCaRiO77 wrote:Is there anything that brings a bigger smile to your face than killing a f-16 with the main cannon of the t90 ?
=)
Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch, liberty is a well armed lamb contesting the vote.

I prefer the fact of realistically thinking that I am reducing the enemy to a pretty stain on the ground. However, I never see satisfaction whenever I shoot down an aircraft. It just makes me think 'You should've killed me or better yet shouldn't have flown at that speed and angle'.
Never gotten tired of hearing the guns on tanks and never will.

remember, tanks are a psychological weapon more than anything.
just drive it over a hill and any infantryman in the right mind will hit the prone key faster than the speed of a HEAT round flying over kashan.
i know the "oh shit" feeling when i see an abrams pop over a hill, you know hes watching you, you know he can take out your squad with the click of a mouse. the fact that PR rewards living players more than any other mod just makes tanks an even more effective psychological asset in the battle.
of course there is the circle of life
infantry < Tanks < Bombers > fighters > other fighters.

19 Kilo .....on the waaaaaaaaaaaaay !
Today, Kashan, moved into postion SE of N village.
Got the hovering little bird, the Abrams, the Linebacker, and the APC then machine gunned some leg troopers. .and what do you know ... up rolled another Abrams and 2 HMMVs .... it was just wonderful.
This was after killing a Cobra that was dumb enough to slow down and turn to kill me around S village, and he said he and his gunner had 30+ kills at that point.
We lost, but it was so much fun anyway.

And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.

we pushed back the MEC armor , backing to repair , then moving to help one flag that was under attack , we kill all the inf there , then we lost 2 tanks by two AT guy , we kill them , they 3 t90s come from their main , that final battle was awesome , 3 t90s vs 2 m1a2s (one badly damage) , the result : 4 burning pieces of steel ant uraniun , the prize: a wonderfull time camping the MEC flag until it was taked
simply amazing

I'd not seen you as we flew past; my gunner called out that he'd seen a tank and couldn't get you with the hellfires, so I pulled around and popped the nose up. Unfortunately you were behind a low dip so neither I nor my gunner could see you easily and before we got a hellfire off you'd downed us.
I don't normally make excuses for my deaths (why should I, it's a game lol), but considering that was my first post-0.4 flight as a gunship pilot, I didn't think we did too bad. Before I had to quit, as piliot, I had killed 3 hostile gunships and I was on 19/7 with my gunner on 21/9. We'd each picked up a kill or two as infantry or tankers, but the rest were all from gunshiping.
You killed us just after we hit three tanks and an AAV for six just south of the southern bunker- we were RTB when we stumbled across you lol.

My favourite tanker moment so far was a round on Kashan. 29/1, then I had to go sleep (I played from 6 'till 7 am)
I just got my MEC tank up on the mountains to the east of their base and started ownaging. Convoy of three tanks rolling down to the village? Check. Blackhawk hovering above the village ready to drop some men? Check.
Just near the end, however, those pesky infantry finally managed to take over Village, and then the fun started. I had parked my tank near the maximum distance away, and those guys had no idea whatsoever as to what was going on, as I levelled the buildings, one by one. Once in a while one would try rushing to another building, only to be "intercepted" by a HEAT round. At one point one guy even tried escaping the village...by running right towards me. Ahhh, the fun times. *sniffs*
So, yeah, tankers unite!

Just yesterday on Al Kufra - my squad had 3 T-90s, we were moving round the south west side of the map, around refinery and storage. about halfway between the two, "Contact! M1!" followed by 3 125mm SABOT rounds blowing him to hell. Having a group of tanks work together like that is fantastic. And since 0.607 came in, nessacary, as now even a damn LAV-25 can blow a T-90 apart with minimal effort.
Or a couple of days ago, again on Al Kufra, we had 3 tanks lined up on the ridge to the east of village blowing apart anyone and anything that moved through our field of vision.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
