Nah,we need germany as bad guys!
I mean as i had to read far too often, we are still nazis. This would make one perfect "bad" faction, you wouldn't even have to feel guilt about killing them, since they are all evil by heart....
Sorry for this rant, i just saw another "Yeah, germans are teh fascistics!" - discussion somewhere. You'd think people would learn after nearly 70 years now,but idiocy just doesn't die....
But on-topic now: I wouldn't go as far to call any of the factions actually "evil" (Besides the USA of course
),since we don't know too much about the background of the ongoing war(s). It might well be that Britain and the USA are the agressors, or even that the USA and PLA made a pact against Britain, which relies upon help by MEC or whatever...
But still, a new faction is always appreciated, especially if they are somewhat exotic and not 0/8/15 standart

Well, the US is one nation, UK is one nation, Canada is one nation (It's WIP). China is one nation, NK is one nation, Militia have no nation, Insurgents have no nation(arguable), but MEC could be 10 or more nations.

Maybe just add a "Bad Guy" Faction. It can be a conglomorat of all the typical henchman, guys who always die in large #'s in every action movie, evil genius's and anyone with an accent.
You would have free reign to introduce every and any weapon you want. Bob_Marley could finally see a P90 in game and Top_Cat_the great could get his enfield. Every sniper whore could get every uber rifle they dream of included. Everyone wins because any nation could fight off the "Bad Guys".

Also, the magazines would have to have an almost unlimited amount of ammo...

You have now given birth to Counter-strike! You have completed the internet forming it into a complete loop, turning PR into CS

Actually, I've always considered the US the "bad guys" in the BF2/PR equation.
IRL, sometime in 2007 sees the point at which over 50% of the world's accessible oil and gas supplies will be have been consumed. From this point onwards as demand continues to rise year on year, supply will no longer be able to rise in order to keep prices energy prices low. In the coming 10 years or so, we *will* all see the price of oil and gas rise dramatically- as demand begins to outstrip supply and the uncertain geopolitical climate continues, consumers are going to get shafted.
Upside of this is that the world's largest consumers of natural resources - the USA and China will begin to start competeting ever more fiercely for resources, and as the price of crude oil starts to rise further and further, control of oil supplies will become a cruicial determinant in the amount of power nations have over the global economy.
I'm not saying Iraq2003 was fought for oil; but I really do believe that within the not-too-distant future oilfields will directly become military and strategic targets of opportunity for limited-scale conflicts.
Given that in BF2/PR, it's the USA stomping all over the MEC, I can't imagine that they invited the US over to come sample the oilfields of their own free volition. Also given that a couple of maps involve oilfields, it seems to me like the mappers at DICE are of the same mindset.
(Finally- why the hell are the USA fighting a war on two fronts? Did they learn nothing from Germany?!)
Edit: I posted this as food for thought only- I'm not looking for a debate on it! Please let's not have this descend into a conversation about oil companies, big business, realpolitik and such or I'll have to remove this post
