Afghanistan
Something I thought I'd share with you all. These are some of my pics from when I was in Afghanistan. I have more if the Devs want a better idea of what the place looks like.
These were all take from 2004-05 in the Zabul province near and far away from the city of Qalat. I was based at FOB Lagman. Enjoy.

Please do, I'm always on the lookout for ref pics of any rural middle-eastern locations. I did those destroyable village models in 0.6 & want to extend them to include some biggger houses soon, so could use all the inspiration i can find...LeggyStarlitz wrote:I have more if the Devs want a better idea of what the place looks like.

Love your photos btw, & if you've got any more pervy ones of Japanese schoolgirls post those too

Thanks guys, I'm glad you liked them. As far as pervy pics of Japanese school girls, Roger Doger!

cheers guys & it's not a new map- was just a style-guide for mappers using those statics, though i hope to make a map or two for 0.7.
those photos are brilliant, i think pr needs to do a snowy afghan map now. btw i don't suppose you've got any portraits lying around that could help in making a texture like this-

it's for some new character models, & i'm having a hard time finding usable photo source for a bearded man (ie. diffuse lighting, straight angles)...

Yeah, even if we had bothered ordering them by the time they would have gotten there it would have been spring.gazzthompson wrote:question for ya leggystarlitz , when it snowed did u carry on wearing desert uniform ?
I'll see what I can find for a usable face. I got photoshop CS2 so I might be able to make it work to your specs.
