D/L corruption

I have D/L the file (1.9 gig) from 3 sites. Every time I try to install it goes great until the last file and then states it is corrupt. I love the previous mod and want more. I did uninstall the 0.5 version before trying to install 0.6. This is a long D/L and need ideas. Can't remember the file name ~client something. But it is at the 99% area of installing.

Make sure you have enough free disk space on all drives (eg drive you're installing to, windows drive or wherever it may be extracting temp files)

Also...try Torrent
I have heard about corrupted files in other release and while Torrent may be slower it seems to deliver a better DL than the others.

Does internet explorer still corrupt large files? If it still does it could be that (Assuming you use IE) or are you using an old version of IE? If it's neither of those some people were saying the files from the some sites were corrupted. I think you can fix it using the torrent without having to download it allover again. I'm not sure how to do it but I'm sure someone does.

I use FireFox only. I will try again I guess. My son D/L'ed from the same spot I did and got a good file. I quess I will have to get it from him.

I heard that you can hook up a downloaded and corrupted file to a bit torrent client, and the client will then check your file against the the files of the other users and update the corrupted bits.
I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I'm sure there could be some info about it in your client's help file / website if you want to look into it.

Easy way to repair your corrupt download.

1. Load the torrent link in a torrent program like utorrent.
http://www.gloryhoundz.com/bt/pr_0609_setup.exe.torrent
http://www.utorrent.com/download.php

2. Stop the torrent download.

3. Load your corrupt file into utorrent.

4. Lets utorrent scan your file.

5. Start the torrent download to load the corrupt sections with utorrent.
