Commander Support/Defend

Hey guys just wondering, do players/squadmembers get extra points when supporting Commanders? When I command, I prefer to be in the fight, a few meters away from the frontlines and there are lots of times when a squad leader goes with me wherever I go to either help me attack a flag, or defend it. However, with some, they even make it a priority to defend me, and keep me alive and follow up as I charge away (thanks to you SL!).

Also, does the presence of a commander make flag capping faster? I'm not sure if it does. I tried looking at the Wiki but for some reason its not loading for me (timeout).

I don't know if you can cap faster with a CO present.

IMO it really isn't the best idea to have the CO pushing the fight, more that you would be there to setup a bunker or firebase after the cap. I don't command often so if it works for you then great.
