Deployable Hedgehog blockades?

Post by Outlawz7 »

I was thinking, since we wont have deployable TOWs yet, can we have deployable roadblocks? The red cross thing for blocking tanks, hedgehog I think, ones that are on Kashan to block the entrances. They could be deployable in a line of 3.

I was commanding today on Ejod and thought, it would be nice, if I could deploy some sort of a roadblock, so vehicles cant pass.
Would actually balance stuff out with razor.
Infantry cant pass razor, vehicles can.
Vehicles cant pass a roadblock, but infantry can.

"Red X tank traps" = Hedgehogs

Image

"concerete barrier tank traps" = Dragon's teeth

Yeah with Humvees and Vodniks, I have yet been able to do it with APCs or Tanks.

I've had someone in my squad try, when I got out of the tank to go check something out, and end up flipping it.

I found out, I can squeeze at the east entrance, where I pretty much have access to both bunkers...

Land mines placed on the side, the enemy infantry can't access, of the barbed wire are a fair deterrent for enemy vehicles. The only problem I see is that the resultant explosion from the land mines/vehicle could take out the wire too.

EDIT: a little more OT but has the land mine dynamics changed since 0.5? ie still 10 min until they disappear after death, with a set number of land mines allowed to be placed at a time?

I don't imagine we could have deployable minefields, could we? You know, for MEC/PLA?

Wouldn't it be cool to have a whole deployable checkpoint? Point at the middle of the road, request, bunker on each side, the oil drums like on Al Basrah's British Checkpoint, some barbed wire. Now that would be awesome!
