I am not a....

Post by Specifications »

Hacker.

People think i am but i am not.

Like in real people think your wrong but your not.

I got called a hacker by some people today because i was having a score of 18-2.

Then i left becuse i had to help family.

3 kids were calling me hacker.

My squad was saying i am not and that i should not worry about it and let them talk.

People get scores of 56-8 or 44-12.

There was a guy with a score of 28-8.

He wasn't called a hacker only me.

People were walking in front of me and when i killed them they call me hacker.

I have everything on low graphics so i can see far n more clearly becuse no shadows no dynamic light etc.

oh my name was like =e= seomntes or sumthin
Thank you.

Is there a point to this? Who cares what other people think?

I think what Grunt is trying to say is that purposely setting graphics to minimum to see clearer over a long distance seems like an exploit to him. I'm not sure I agree, but it certainly is a way of taking advantage of the engine.

If you change a setting to get an advantage over other users -that was not intended for the game- then that is an exploit.

you weren't you were just asked to use better judgment when in game.

Any way you were not kicked from the clan. we still need to go through our screening for proving exploits/ hacks upon our members.

I was the guy's squad leader that round.

I have no idea if any hacking was taking place. His score was quite reasonable considering he was in an APC and defending the North Checkpoint on Al Basrah.

What frustrated me was that when the opposing side started casting around allegations, two things happened:

1. "Specification" / Sonates didn't ignore it and carry on playing
2. The opposing players with a bee in a bonnet didn't just post a report here with screenshots of scores and supposed incidents of where they'd been impossibly killed, and leave it to the server's admins to sort out.

I do *not* like having my afternoon of PR griefed by people on both sides of a game busy calling each other insulting names and spamming the chat with accusations.

"Did they say what he's angry about?" asked Annette Mitchell, 77, of the district, stranded after seeing a double feature of "Piranha 3D" and "The Last Exorcism." - Washington Post

Any chance we could hear from the people that actually said they followed him around with death cam and then made the determination that he was cheating ?

I run low setting as well and I don't feel that it is an exploit and I would like to see some comparisons done with low end and high end settings to see who really has the advantage.

I don't know for certain, but I think my 1G RAM and 128mb card running PR on low/medium settings does not give me an advantage over 3G RAM and dual 512mb cards.

Proof ......................is there any at all ?

I'm not saying it's an exploit if your comp can't handle higher. But if you can run higher settings than low but find low gives you a significant advatage over other players, surely that's an excuse?
