I've encountered a problem with the stock PR maps...
I'm trying to modify mestia so that it can become a race map for my clan... So far I've been able to add a few objects and some vehicles. But my two problems are the terrain and the kits when I load the map in PR.
First, in the editor when I click render both detail and texture the terrain comes out totally black, when I load in game the terrain still remains completely black, does anyone know how to fix this?
Second, upon loading the game I'm unable to spawn as I cannot choose a kit, it's completely empty...
Thanks in advance for your help...

you dont have the editor files which you need to modify the colour and detail layers.. the editor files are not released with the mod as they are quite large and allow anybody to make any changes to the map.
I suggest one of 2 things.
1.dont modify the terrain
2. copy all the levels primary files to a new level created in the editor and
you would be able to repaint the terrain.
regarding the no kit selection issue.
Open the init.con from the original mestia level (back up first!)
and copy and paste it into your modified levels init.con
(the editor overwrites our specific mod lines and makes them default bf2
setting so the kits dont load)

Thanks dude..I've figured it out...The kit problem was with my pr_edit mod that I created (from the tutorial) I played the modified map in the main PR mod and it worked, and the terrain problem was solved by just copying the staticobjects.con and gameplayobjects.com from my modified mestia map and I placed them in the main Mestia map (made a backup of course)...
