Operation Pheonix - Stretch CP's Please!

Does anyone else feel claustraphobic when trying to place RPs on this map? Particularly on the US side?
IMO, the map itself is at a good size as is, however the CP's are positioned too close together; which results in a highly linear set of objectives. The 4 points are directly north/south of each other and just feel very dense to me.
I led a squad last night on OP(as MEC) and while we did have to clear out a USMC RP west of the Suburb CP once, that was the only time the whole game we set foot on that side of the river.
Suggestion:
Consolidate the 4 CP's in the middle down to 2, and add 2 more; one out east of the Railroad tracks in the hills, and one out west of the Suburb CP on the west side of the river.
This would spread out the action across the map while still keeping the original 'downtown' feel of the Construction Site/Suburbs battle.
Thoughts?
