I was just practicing flying the little bird and its variant on kashan and I tried aiming for targets like the humvees/vodniks. It took 30-50 bullets dead on before the car exploded. 30-50 bullets is 3-5 seconds of dead on shooting. Thats shooting it upclose and personal. The little bird(which basically smokes from small arms fire and is easy prey for any armor or plane) is so weak and so defenseless, its a bit unbalanced I think. People say "Oh you have to fly higher", when you fly higher so that armor cant get you, your aim is even harder to control, and it's impossible to see any infantry or let alone put that many bullets into a moving car, which is probably shooting at you along with a plane, an anti air vehicle and an AA kit. And if its not those that kill you, it'll probably be the flip when you land to pick someone up =/

If you're against increasing its damage, it would make sense to replace it either with the transport little bird or the cobra on the 64 player map.

Eh it's an anti infantry tool anyways.


EDIT: I do agree Kashan needs the transport version more than the gunship one -- it would make for alot of good fast insertion tactics.

I recall they have 7.62mm?
so it would take a moment to kill a humvee, naturally

just strafe infantry with them
and no AA kit can't hit littlebird

if you circle strafe vodniks they cant hit you that easy since they mostly cant lead to good with the .50 cal.
aim exactly for the gunner, not just roughly in his direction.
on the other hand if itd get the rockets on kashan it would uneven the map since the ah6 would become an apc and attack helo killer.

The mini-guns really do need work though. A LB opened up on me when I was medic on Qwai for 2 full seconds before my squad chased it off and I still lived. Sure I was bleeding and in LSD vision, but the thing was right in front of me and a full 2 second burst with twin mini's should be enough to do anyone in.

They cleared an entire rooftop with them in Black Hawk Down!

But seriously, those miniguns are a pain to use. Unless you get a couple of dead-on hits, which is hard to achieve while trying to avoid being shot down, you can hardly do any damage with them.

Because they are too accurate I think, if they were spreading out abit more it would be possible to clear a rooftop wiht ease.

its not that hard really guys. circle strafing is the key although bit more splash sure would be nice.
again, circle strafe and make your target the center. nuff said bout my 101 technique.

Yeah, but dune, they also had hydras in BHD

Also, I think the Attack Little Bird should be used in more of a recon role with the occasional strafing run.

For the record, I was just kidding with the BHD reference, seeing how people keep mentioning that movie as an excuse.

Anyway, I know that circle-strafing is an option, but with a chopper as vulnerable as the LB, I prefer making quick passes before getting the hell away.

I seem to remember bassdrive going about 82-5 on Qwai with one, so there's not much wrong with the chopper itself.

The LB you see with just minis are scout ships. They go a'hunting enemy armour and are MEANT to relay it to the CO, who will then act with his hypothetical armor squad/ Attack chopper sqdrn/A-10.
Think though....what could a 50 round do to a LB IRL? That thing is so small, every part of it pretty much has something vital to keeping it in the air. 1 round would be serious trouble for the pilot too.

He obviously missed.
Infantry can't withstand 2 seconds of that gun.

Rapid. Accurate.
It is powerful against infantry.

Not to mention the Blackhawk miniguns need some damage increase. They're virtually useless. I know they're a transport chopper and not a gunship, but still...

A rifle is more powerfull then the miniguns and I think a m249 is due to replace the blackhawk gun model, ie. it wont ever be a real minigun

LB miniguns are weak as hell, I remember getting hit by a burst and surviving. Sure I was down to like 10 hp but I should have died. And i remember hitting infantry multiple times and they still survive somehow.

The best way to kill someone in a Vodnik/Humvee is to fire in those side windows coz its nearly impossible to destroy it before that .50 cal eats you.
