Problem on exit

Every time I quit PR I get the classic Windows error sound.
No error message is displayed and no errors are found in Windows' appl. log.

Battlefield2 and POE2 don't have this problem.

Run the game in windowed mode and you'll get a message.

Hey!

Im wondering if anyone has anything further to ad to this. Ive posted before about a microphone corruption problem and I never found a solution. At the time I posted I had not noticed the error sound upon exit. But it is there every time I quit PR, and I wonder if the two things could somehow be related?

As it is, I have to restart my computer every time I play PR, re-plug my mic so that my (lousy) soundmax drivers will recognize the mic, and then configure the mic both with the soundmax and the BF2 VOIP program. When I do this, about 50% of the time my mic is legible in-game.

I hope that this error sound is indicative of a problem that I can fix!

Same, only it happens on all mods including BF2

The 'error sound' is a known issue which is fixed in the upcoming patch.

mine freezes for a few seconds and then i keep clicking the right mouse button until i hear the beep, and everything starts working again.

Fixed it for you....
You do not automatically get an error message when quitting PR or vBF2. Just the error sound and nothing else.

Does to me as well. In PR and even in vBF2 (even before I had PR installed).
When it wasn't beeping yet (few days after fresh OS install), after shutting down the game, the PC was unusable for few seconds - gray desktop, icons loading one by one, just a huge lag.
ATM, when I shut down the game, it does its error sound and I can continue to work on PC without any lag at all. Odd.
