PLA vs Mec?
Would this ever happen? or PLA vs insurgents/militia? Or maybe even MEC vs insurgents? Just off the top of my head. I searched and didnt find this but I found the combined forces idea which I really like as well. Cheers!

AFAIK there is a problem with that. In BF2 engine you have 2 teams to which factions/armies belongs
In PR it is like this
Team1: US, UK
Team2: MEC, PLA, Ins, Mil
And it is not allowed (by engine) to create a map where are fighting factions of the same team against each other.
Maybe it is possible to circumvent this but that only DEVs and God knows (*edited*) and Bob_Marley

Its entirely possible. However
It involves making a copy of one of the 2 teams onto team 1, making a copy of their viechles which are locked to team 1, takes up additional space and is generally inconivinent.
Basically its a very low priority for the Dev team right now and although I would love to see it (as well as MEC vs Insurgents) I support that level of priority, though I do hope it will happen one day.
In VBF2 its much easier, but with the team locked viechles and the commander assets and whatnot its is consierubly complicated.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
Many thanks to [R-DEV]Adriaan for the sig!
