Is this hardcoded?

Ok heres the situation i'm interested in making a model of the chinook as a "Heavy Transport Chopper" So i wanna be able to fit 14 people in total, But being 8+ seats on any vehicle hard coded my idea was simple cut it into a 3 part vehicle which moves as one, What i mean is i want to make a cockpit area that hold a pilot and co-pilot, A mid area with it's own doors on each side holding 1 squad of 6, And a back area with a door like the merlin holding another squad of 6.

What i wanna know is can i split a vehicle into different parts but make it move as one?

(Please no sarcastic or dumbass replies)

colitions in bf2 are fucked , you cant have vehicles on vehicles , because one of those will blow the other

But this will be different.

1. The model moves as one and to avoid collisions i would shrink the hitbox so they never touch just the visible parts of the model do and give the illusion of one solid object when looked at.

2. To keep the hitboxes from colliding with each other in midflight i would make it a .2 second delay between each parts hitbox moving and one cant move unless the other one has.

3. Most importantly if none of these work well my other idea might work but it wont be as "Smooth" as this one.

Speaking of the whole hardcoded thing have the developers, or any developers for that matter, sent a nice polite letter to EAs legal department requesting that they might let them edit their engine to a slightly more intense extent? Or would that kinda thing get shot down straight off?

How would you edit the .exe without the source code?

Also, the mods and devs are going to start handing out warnings soon for threads (especially suggestions) that don't adequately describe the topic (especially the suggestion) in the title. Just a heads up.

And, the warning will come only via e-mail so if your spam filter catches it you won't even know that you have been warned until you earn enough points to be banned for a week.
This idea might work as a paradrop platform where the helo remains in the air and the gaps between the 3 different vehicles would not be visible from the ground and all three vehicles were coded to follow each other but not touch.
On the other hand that sounds like a lot of work for very little benefit.

You can run around in a flying Osprey without getting killed, strangely enough...

I beg your pardon but who told you the warnings were just emailed and not sent as a PM as well?

As far as I know, members getting a warning will receive both a PM AND an email.
I can warn you and you'll find out first hand? ;)

Does that work if the back door opens, or do all the bodies fly out a lá merlin?

What's wrong with how the Merlin flies? It's not perfect but it's functional.
