Another noob question

Hey guys, Ive been playing PR SP for a while now to practice and think I'm ready to jump into the MP game. The only problem is when I try to join a match, I get kicked by punkbuster due to lack of priveleges??? Any ideas here, I'm new to multiplayer PC gaming so I have no idea what this means. Thanks in advance for any help......

Do you have Windows Vista?

If you do, I seem to remember 6 months back a buddy of mine showed me the same trouble on his PC. You have to right click on the icon and set privilege.

What server are you trying to join? Can you post the exact kick message that pops up as well?

Any server I try to join i get the same kick message. It loads the entire map and when I go to select a kit it says Punkbuster has kicked you due to:
Restriction: innadequate OS priveleges. Any ideas here? Is punkbuster something I have to register for or something???

The impression I get is that you're using Windows Vista. Try running the program as an Administrator. If I'm not mistaken, its right-click -> run as administrator. Correct me if Im wrong in this, because Im not in Vista.

If you are running Windows Vista, then you need to right click your PR shortcut, click on properties, click compatability tab, put a checkmark in the run this program as an administrator check box and click ok. You should now be able to play without getting kicked.
