TK / punishing bug ?!

Hi

Today a stupid team member crashed his plane into my tank. Well, np so far, you can meet idiots anywhere. The real annoying thing was that he could punish me after that.

Welcome the Forum, glad to have you with us. This isn't really a bug, it's one more example of EA incompetence and lack of insight.

What probably happened was you were driving and some pilot crashed into you while you were moving, and the game engine thought you "ran him over"...

Wish the Devs could simply remove the "punish" system altogether...

Yeah, but I like to punish idiots who kill me on purpose (I can think of at least one incident where a team member was running around blowing up himself, others and strategic objectives such as our bunker using C4). What would be good is a voting system where the default is "vote yes" unless you specifically press page down. Then at least all the AFK's will be contributing to your kickvotes.

Bad that it couldn´t be changed. But too remove the whole punish system wouldn´t be that good because it´s a great tool to remove intentional teamkillers from the server if there´s no admin online.

I agree that many people abuse the punish system and very often you get punished before you have time to say sorry but I can live with that.

Yeah everyone gets punished by stressed out twats who take the game too seriously all the time, I'm yet to be kicked because of it though due to the fact most servers have pretty decent systems to keep it fair.

Something that's down to people been dicks at the end of the day. Perhaps they should stop being such massive bellends?

Well, the thing with the punishing system is that people mostly punish accidents, and if someone is intentionally TKing or being a real punk then it would be pretty obvious even without the punish... so personally I see the punish system as only a way for some immature little brat to vent and break keyboards (by automatically slamming the page-down button)

I had this happening to me on BF2, some twat crashes the jeep into my APC and somehow I get a TK, he punishes and there goes like 30 points, Ive tearing my head apart to get for the last 20 mins....
Thats why I stopped playing BF2, its alll about the frigging points, so people can get uber 1337 weapons...
