Don't if know if this is possible but sound spoting inside a tank is realy silly so if was possible to set sond to mono (non directional) when inside an iron box like a tank.
It would fore teams to support tanks with infantry more and give it a more realistic feel when the tank is beeing shot at.

I think I know what you mean. You want exterior sounds to be more obstructed when inside a Tank/APC right? If so, we're working on it for 0.7

Sounds good, would force people to back their armour up with infantry then. Similar to the supporting of armoured knights in the middle ages with men at arms.

Guess I needed a translaitor on that one

ops:
Im more conserne with not being able to determin where the sound comes from, not how clear it is.

Don't worry, you'll only hear things that are very loud (explosions etc). I tested it yesterday...

Men-at-arms could also be knights

I think he means sound shouldn't be directional when you are inside a tank. Outside, with the 3d sound engine, you can hear where a sound is coming from. He thinks it should not be possible when inside a tank, which somewhat makes sens. Anyway, most sounds shouldn't be audible when inside a tank IMO.

I say again...you'll only hear loud sounds like explosions etc.
