Battlefield Friend

Post by FoW_Strummer »

I am sure that this has been suggested before, so I apologize if this question is repeditive. Since playing PR is at times fast and intense I was wondering if the devs ever thought about a code or stand-alone program that would allow you to recognize a player that you would like to squad or team with. I have been in awesome squads and had a real good experience (certain players styles click better than that of others). It would be cool if I could quickly tag that players name to be saved so when that player hopped into a server that I am on it would be highlighted..(or something).

It would get rid of the countless hours of joining and leaving squads that dont fit your "style". At least if you were able to be "aware" that a "preferred" player has joined, it can allow you to get in a decent game.

Thanks for your time.

This used to be a feature in the original bf42 but i cant remember the code... might be possible that its in bf2 already although thats a long shot

in bf42 you used to be able to bring up the console type in a certain command and the players current server id or name and they would appear green on your map and in the scoreboard from then on

I used to use BF2s.com buddly list for Vbf2, for PR I use Gamemonitor.com player tracking sigbox thigy,
how to:
go to Game-monitor.com and use filters to select BF2 and PR
go to the server your buddy is playing currently and click his name
click customize/get code
customize as you see fit and copy code
Paste the code somewhere, or bookmark it (I use a Igoogle Image gaget)

buddy list for bf42 was awesome!! it made the guys who were your buddy green, and as soon as they join they server you would recognize their green text and join up with them.

however for BF2 the squad system and xfire have mostly replaced this....
