i totally agree with limiting the kits in game. its the only way to insure the best gameplay with the realistic ratio of weapons to soldiers.
all the special kits should be limited except for the basic grunt assault class. this can be done by making pick up kits at the main base or at armory bunkers, or just placed randomly.
only a limited number of people per team will have the support guns, sniper rifles, AT and medic kits. the rest will be grunts, just like it should be.

Should only allow maybe the SL to have the 203 attachment with the Rifle. Past that, I kinda agree, although there would be alot of complaints about the limits.Armand61685 wrote:Yea riflemen (with the underslung grenade launcher taken out) should be unlimited.

Who cares, this is a realism mod, they should know what they're getting into. And don't worry about losing fan base, as this mod grows, more milsim players will be attracted to it. It just needs major advertising.
ANd yea, as said before, there needs to be a limited grenadier class or only make SL have the GL.

They could just do away with the selectable kits alltogether, have everything on the field in equipment trucks, static jeeps or buildings/tents whatever. Everyone simply spawn with a pistol and type of uniform, then have to go to the nereast equipment shed and gear up from available kits. It might be annoying every time you die to have to re-equip yourself, but hey realism is all about being annoying
The point of this over direct kit limations is that only good people can hog a certain kit. If an idiot pick that powerfull M249 and no one else can spawn as support, what to do? He'll just keep respawning it, hogging the kit. But by pickup, the kit ends up in the field or back in the equipment shed for someone else to take. Maybe it encourages griefing (killing for a kit), but that's something one have to deal with I'm afraid.

We've all been thinking this, but i feel that the original posts ratios are all off. Snipers should be limited to 1 per team and a new class - the marksman should be implimented in its place for working with squads. Spec ops should be out completely as they would have no missions in the setting of PRMM at the moment.

No I do not want to die playing a game (unrealism fans have been using this against me for years)

I like Dawdlers idea the best
Royal Green Jackets- Britains premier infantry regiment

Air force definition of explosives: A loud noise followed by the sudden going away of what was once there a second ago.
Retreating?! Hell no, we're just attacking the other direction!

I like this idea .... just one thing I would change, instead of spawning with just a pistol, I would have it spawn as a regular rifleman (since not every class has a pistol) so that if your squad leader needed some support ASAP you wouldn't have to spawn back at base to get a useful kit, you could spawn in on your squad as a plain rifleman.dawdler wrote:They could just do away with the selectable kits alltogether, have everything on the field in equipment trucks, static jeeps or buildings/tents whatever. I really think this would help the current problems of spawn camping and such too because if you just took a flag and a tank comes rolling in, but all of your team died taking the flag (thus all respawning on squad leader as riflemen) you wouldn't be able to do anything against the tank. It would add a more strategic (or tactical .... not sure which one) depth to the game.
Edit -- crappy spelling ...
