GHILLIE suits

Post by 5th Marine Scout »

I think the game need proper ghillie suits for snipers that need beta cover from enemy targets and more proper shrub to hide in and i noe from experiance that you have no cover from enemy aircraft and other snipers.

Hey there.

Thanks for your suggestion, buddy. Rest assured that we will be making advanced marksmanship in our mod as realistic as it can possibly be.

Keep 'em coming. :)

5th Scout, just leave all of the advanced marksmanship stuff to us; the military advisors. :D

I think it was that part. Seems to be a testicular forum right here. You've got 5th Scout getting a tad annoyed that he offered an opinion, and got told to leave it to the military advisors, who being, may have learned everything from a GI Joe Comic book, for all he knows. 0] That's what I got from it anyways.
I think he wants your resume.

meh, there is a huge post about it in some other part of the forums, like a few pages long i believe. I am sure that everything will be taken care of. The gentlemens post was a repeat of about 10 other posts. That is why they have it covered, cuz we bugged them about it too much awhile ago

I am a Senior Airman in the USAF, I am a Network Intelligence Analyst (1N451) stationed in VA. I cannot really tell you anymore than that, but I have among the least experience in the military as some of our advisors, rest assured we didn't just pick anyone who had an interest. Some of our advisors have an engineering degree, some retired Mil. One of those is a retired Spec Ops troop. Plz don't think we are trying to come off as "know-it-alls" but it can go both ways, how are we to know who you are just because your name says "General Eisenhower", that doesn't mean automatically that you know everything about the allied landings at D-day.

I personally don't care too much. As far as a mod goes, the people who should be advising need to be people who can scour the internet for latest and greatest tech, and what the military employs. being an ex Naval Intel Op, most of the stuff I know, I can't talk about anyways. The same goes for other members of the intelligence community. My advice, keep the guys who have the want, to search the internet, or who have got to check out the latest and greatest unclassified equipment. It's all Hollywood, once it goes in a game, anyways.

Yeah so maybe some new technology can make it in game like the electric armor or anti-RPG airbags. Would be interesting to see how that stuff actually works in realistic conditions though.

There are 10 million posts about snipers in these forums. I honestly cant understand why half the people that play BF are obsessed with sniping, and yet most suck(I did NOT say that anyone here sucks, I simply stated most do, I know I do). I honestly think that this mod should concentrate minimaly on the uber whored snipers and more about the gameplay involved in regular infantry(riflemen, support, medics) so that we dont get the things that happened in DC with the uber VSS.

I like the sniper idea, and I hate the sniper idea...... How about you limit the snipers to like 2-4?

Limiting classes has a major negatif point Teamkills, there is a risk that people are going to kill their team mates to be able to get that kit.b
