Hmm amazing map, great immersion, really feels like a war torn urban area.

Unfortunately the game play is somewhat linear on the 16plyr version, ok so this makes for some amazing head to head firefights but i feel there could be so much more made out of this map maybe?

Is there any chance at all that this could be opened up wide and made into an insurgency map? I reckon it would be mega fun with insurgent vs brits.

Btw would someone feed that goddam dog??? :-P

I always thought that about this map, when i was loading the map for the first time i thought that it was jus 1 big street but when i got in game most of it was blocked of by the red lines .. i think it would be a great map if it was opened up and would play well with insurgency and extraction which is unfortunately not working atm :(

It's supposed to be an Extraction map (with a USMC black hawk...), but it isn't working that way for some reason.

Funny how this map suddenly exploded in poplularity with the new patch.
Its been there all along and suddenly "every" server runs it, on occation even 32vs32.
I see ingame people complaining its boring and very Vanilla-ish, but come on its a 16-playermap!

Ontopic; Jes, bigger versions of this map could be interesting but i dont necessarily feel its in that direction PR is moving.

and then they decided to change it to mec. wtf...

that map was fine as ins already. i still have fond memories of taking the gas laucher and firing shells into the Brit base and all of the ins just rushing the spawn.. hm i love defending against the onslaught of enemiess.

It doesnt work with xtract because the gamemode is set on-hold and i think its going to get an complete overhaul!

I would like it if the North and South could open up slightly, so RP placements, and less chokepoints

I only had the privilage of playing street 2 times but both times were fairly intense (even thogh small) urban fire fights my only complaint was all the damn grenades flying every were, so i to would like to see this map expanded even if its just a little

Its fail on populated servers, if you have 64 people on, you should run another map. But it's good to get it populated, squad on squad (6 vs 6, 12 players) works best IMO

Also, I think, that some parts of the map are closed down by the combat zone, which could be used for combat, but in general, only the current part of the map was made for fighting, so if you open it up, there would just be empty streets outside the main area. Also, near the GB base, you can get a sneak peak over the boundaries, there's nothing around it, it's a 256x1 map...

And the reason, it's changed to GB vs. MEC is due there's no other map, that is GB vs. MEC

IMHO Streets one of the better atmospheric maps in PR. My fav is still Mestia. I mean. Cmon. Russians and Forests. Nice :)

I think Street could be better only if they expanded the areas. Currently there are what.. 3 chokepoints I think? Very predictable flow of people so you get that vanilla flavour of Pile em On and Die. With more room theres more space to maneuver and not get spam naded. Light vehicles would be interesting to add too but thats just a guess.

It reminds me of kutu arms market from JO :twisted:

Very good map, I just wish BF2 buildings were more useable- not just the construction site.

Street is an excellent fun map. If you want to get a server going just start it with Street. We even run a 24/7 32 player Street server now and that is full quite often.

Street seems fine to me as is, just need more like it, and or maybe some bigger insurgent or extraction maps (wish I had the time to map) ;(

What would be nice, is the northern alternative to street, war torn streets, cold, grey, a bit like Berlin and Stalingrad in BF1942, maybe using some of the builds from BF special forces…. Russians or Brits v Rebels whatever makes good ;)

We need more citymaps i mean pure citymaps not ejod desert-like. A bigger Streets would be fantastic.
