Spec ops Sniper?

OK i would love to see this kit be made. Give teh spec ops and this spec op sniper both paracutes. Reallly becasue these can both be limited kits only 1 sniper is allowed per a team.

Spec Ops Sniper Loadout(USMC kit loadout)
Knife
Pistol
That marksmen rifle the USMC had in 0.4(surpessor)
Green Smoke
Flashbang
Field Dressing

It would make make it so the people who play spec ops can do more then use slams and stuff they that way can jump out of a helo land near a target and take a postion of covering it so normal troops can move in.

P.S.- i know everyone who played in 0.4 Loved taht Marksmen rifle.

Could be, but what would you give to the other factions ?
VSS Vintorez may do the trick for the MEC, but what about China and GB ?

Well if its Spec Ops then for United Kingdom i would suggest either:

G3SG1 as the SAS has used this gun for some time now. could also borrow the MEC marksman model (if its made)
or just use the MK12 Mod 0 thing.

Ok, as long as they don't get parachutes.

I see too much potential for people pulling off crazy stuff with parachutes that would never happen in real life, regardless of the delay and everything.

Offcourse no parachutes......!

Why no parachutes?? They need to be 10 sec in the air to avoid death anyway..

Surely as Spec Ops are already seen as a "l33t" kit anyway, give someone a kit with a silenced sniper rifle and a parachute you may as well tell them to try and be superman. Most people will think "ZOMGROFLMAOL33THAX!!!111!! I got the Uber spec ops sniperzor kit!!11!!"

I can see your point, it would be an almost invaluable kit when utilised properly but unforunately 99% it would be used as a "superman" kit, the player will get killed and then you've got a 10 minute(for such a good kit they'd have to put a wait on before you could get it again) wait for it.

Good plan in theory, never going to work IMO.

Probably the worst idea for gameplay i heard in quite some time.

Lets look at the two classic tard/lonewolf kits.

1. SF
2. Sniper
3. marksman (he cant get hold of a SR)

Now combining them?
Allot of players in PR are subject to the glamorised Hollywood enigmas that are 'E-133t SF', navy seals, SAS etc and hotshot sniper/marksmen.
It'd just be a glitzy little addition for those UBER players, that perhaps need a little encouragement in the other direction with a few more restrictions in that area and more focus on other areas, such as assisting rifleman and Company MGs.
There are a lot of 'S-UBER duper' silenced weapons in other mods, like PoE2 for example.

...mongol...

What are you trying to sneak in the recon class from 2142?

very bad idea, no offense. but this is just a bad idea.

I didnt know any faction used specops snipers along side infantry during a real battle

We already have it in if you have'nt noticed. It's the Milita Scout he just does'nt have a scope nor explosives which was a wise choice in order to stop solo'ing. This would't work well for conventional armies because A. They use satellites for reconissaince. And B. Spec-ops sniper or "Recon" Would only encourage solo'ing, Because of having everything that he needs to be a one man army.

once again a discussion about parachutes...

In my opinion the best way to do it would be:

- 30 sec of engine start on the choppers (already used)
- 30 sec in air with parachute so you won't get injured on the landing (already used)
- Parachutes are given to any player that is at least 10 to 15 minutes on a chopper on the air, without leaving it or dying. (if that's possible.)

I think that would do the trick as it ain't that easy to keep the chopper in the air for that long on most of the maps (against a good team) and most people don't really want to wait that long either.

Wouldn't this eliminate the need for the marksman class? Very bad idea.
