[Map] Wake Island remake

heres some little preview of upcomming map.
Every square on map is one kilometer.

Map still needs overgrowth (ammount is to be tested) and final lightmaps.
16 player layout (for clan wars mainly) is basicaly one HUUUUGE flag area (radius 2000m) in the mid air between two carriers and its all about air supremacy and gaining that airspace and therefore reducing enemys tickets.
32 and 64 are a bit tricky ones...
Idea is to have 2 carriers per side and to have spawns only by mapper set rallypoints wich really needs to be protected!
On the island there is an airfield that once its captured will spawn 2 bomber planes that must be used to bomb/destroy those mapper set rallypoints on enemys carriers in order to disable spawning on them wich will ultimately lead to heavy ticket bleed and victory.

But I'd really want more action on the island, can you put two CPs on it, one on north side and one on south, so we can have some infantry fights on the island itself
btw, how did you get 8x8km to work? Some sort of way to expand the map with tweaking the surrounding terrain?

Yeah, that foto is from 16 player lyer. 32 and 64 will have more CP's.
8x8 geting to work was really heavy brainstorming.
it is werry complex, it needs to have 3 identical maps in diferent sizes and combine theirs elements in a proper way, mybe i will write some quick guide on it some time...

no worrys, that will get properly set once map is fine tuned...

But i thought number of kit spawns was limited by the devs to 4 in .6?

Few questions:
How exactly will the APCs cross 2km of ocean without being slaughtered by the bombers? (two seater bombers?)
Is wake island to scale?
Will the aircraft carrier be larger than the BF2 version?
Will the aircraft carrier be like the one from iron gator? ie. planes spawn below deck and taxi to the lift which raises them to the flight deck.
There are more, I just can't think of any more at the moment.

While I admire the technical aspect, I don't like the idea at all, except for clan matches.

yeah, not looking foward to this on a 64 player server att all... but for smaller stuff it might work...

Nice... but I was hoping for a complete remake with a large mainland w/ some accurate details, because all that water might make it an APC war and the Island is smaller than the Kashan Desert Bunker Complexes,
But nice work nonetheless.
