I just thought about this! Most of the guys I transported in the Huey had headsets in their ears, so why not in game? I mean, Hearing VOIP is hard cause some of the guys don't have it turned up loud. I mean, Say the game stuff (bullets, running, all the ambient sounds) go through the speakers, and the VOIP through the headset? That is if the person has a headset and speakers that can work at the same time.
Just a thought

I have excatly this with Ventrilo/TS2 (i mainly use Vent). The best way i have found is to get a cheap 1 ear headset with mic, and then have 2 sound cards. 1 priamary so card that is set up to do all windows, and ingame sounds, and the other to only do vent/TS voices and mic.
The huge acvantage of this is that you can hear everything over your speakers (eg choper enginers can drown out ppls voices easy), and you dont get any feedback. You might get a little feedback of exsplosions if your mic is on a high sencivity or speakers are ery louad but it works grate if you set it up right.
the only downfall with this is the BF2 VOIP dose NOT support 2 sound cards. this means i cannot use the ingame VOIP unless i swap my mic plug round, which i never do.

trust me, its way easier to use 2 sound cards on a better qulity program liek Vent than use the igname VOIP when your playing with a clanPsycho_Sam wrote:Just get them to turn voip up? Whats the point in having 2 sound cards? Your just creating more hassle than its worth. I can hear voip fine as long as their mic is set up correctly so it doesnt sound like they are wispering.

yes, but not everyone will get 2 soundcards. I think that xbox could do it with rainbow 6, so is it possible with modding some code? I mean, the pubbers won't go and get VENT or TS just to use something that is already loaded onto the game. I use TS, but use the VOIP when playing on the PRMM servers.
