Hi started looking into doing some map making. dunno how much will come of it. but after following tutorial https://www.realitymod.com/forum/tutori ... 14468.html
but now getting some strange errors with bf2 editor just loading
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/londonsmee/warning.txt
I understand that its' ignoring the errors. but where are the templates supposed to be that arnt there. Just started to make a map and would like to have least hassle before trying to test it.

thous are all normal errors, all it is saying is that it has loaded the vehicle out of PR, and it has found the vehicle again in vBF2 and is not going to load that, since there is a PR version loaded.
As long as the error dose not stop you from working, or causing you/others problems, ignore it.

reporting back in
Spent the evening doing some map making. and have learnt quite a lot in one evening. have mad the level. have generated. the overgrowth, undergrowth, lightmap. and atlas.
after packaging. i load the map it goes the 100% and crashs i get the error
version: 1.12965-797.0build date 2006-9-26 17:53
module rendDx9
file :d \aphrodite\bf2_1.4\Code\BF2\rendDx9\texturemanager.cpp
line:761
Text: Texture not found:
menu/hud/texture/ingame/minimap/minimap/usmc/minimap_cp
Current confile:
I run the Project Reality Edit start up and can play normal PR maps. can play Bf2 maps. so think that's not the problem. Have unpacked the menu and put in to the pr_edit. so it's there. am thinking it's more a genenic error problem. but lost where to check. is it reporting this cause i have missed something. Have deleted the CP's of USMC , and redone. Have deleted them again and called them US that didnt do anything.
Have reinstalled BF2, PR. and 1.4 patch. have opened the minimap_cp and it's there.
Is there any other test to check the map on before doing package mod.
any thoughts of suggestions
cheers

do a search for the error on http://www.BFeditor.org's forums, its about you not putting the correct teams in the map, in the init.con file but i cant be asked to go though it when there are 100s of posts about ppl having the same prob and solutions too them that takes 2 secs to find if you use the search tool....

run though that tut, at the bottom is the bits you need for kits that will fix the above error, but best you run though the whole thing.
