fast roping

Post by Hitperson »

is it possible to use a similar code to the grappleing hooks / zip lines in SF to enable fast roping in PR.

That IS called fastroping, so I guess that's what he is talking about. And yes, it would be cool to do that from the Blackhawk!

I think they've considered this long and hard, although I'm unsure they've actually decided yet.

well the thing is it coud be put in, but whats the advantage when u can just land drop off and fly off again. It would be fun but it would need a purpose like getting people into narrow streets or dense forest

I think that even if it may be possible, this is one of those things that cant be implemented in an acceptable manner without source code control.

i dout it will be put in, This was 1 of thew things EA where going to put into BF2 but they just couldnt code it right. They said most of the time it loked really wrong and unrealistic, but in the right place and under the right conditions it could work but not every time. They also said it was easier to land the chopper than let ppl go out the side and sit there like a duck...
