So I finally got to play...

Post by Metphis »

and I have to say Project Reality is awesome.

I originally downloaded and installed it a few months back but 1gig of ram didn't agree with many of the maps and sometimes the loading times were so long i'd be kicked for being idle. Since upgraded to 2gig I decided to download and try it again, and i'm glad I did.

Once I found a squad working together with VoIP I was hooked :D have to say though 9 times out of 10 I have no idea what's going on and just end up following my squad around cluelessly. It' all good fun though.

So yeah, just thought i'd say hi to the PR community and to forgive me for accidently shooting my own squad a few times, have been having trouble telling the teams apart now and then at long distances :P

welcome mate...you'll get the hang of it soon enough.. the map is your friend and so is asking your squad lead what he needs..

In other words use your maps alot and talk to your SL.. that way you'll soon know what's going on and why.

Yep you will learn. Maybe you should read some of the guide though, just to make it go faster.

Hello and welcome Metphis. As far as not knowing what is going on and just following the squad lead around. The good news is that is what you will be doing when you know what is going on. Sometimes you may be on point and the Squad lead is flowing you. Hope to see you in game

Well Metphis, I'd have you in my squad any day man. Trying to herd wayward players makes the game that much more difficult and frustrating.

In fact because of the difficulties in herding (admittedly most likely curious vBF2 players) shortly after the latest release, I quit playing for a while. It's a bummer getting super uptight just to have fun....heh-heh.

Other players are like herding cats, if they stay close to you then something's going right.

Just realised that makes no sense but what the hell.

Welcome to the mod, glad you enjoy it! It's a steep learning curve but within no time at all you'll be barking out orders and getting exasperated when the latest kitten to the flock starts wandering off to investigate the milk at another Control Point.

...um, I'm not sure why I carried on with that metaphor.

Don't mind me *blink*

You have a problem with kitten-based metaphor?
