it was on a NZ server. can't remember the name but whoever put it up thanks.

it was empty at first but i joined it just to muck about using the new vehicles. well within minutes 3 other guys joined and i had as much fun as i usually do on a normal crowded normal bf2 server.

this mod is damn good.

online play is so much better than VS bots and i would advise anyone who has just tried VS bots to keep an eye out for online. nothing beats hunting down another guy you just know is 'somewhere' around - and being hunted in turn.

my favourite features ATM are - no uav. no satellites. no enemy tags. no kill messages. projectiles do scary damage. the projectile speed (especially the tanks). efficiency of LMG (was on the wrong side of a rpk too many times).

my concerns. m16 is too easy to 'run and gun' with. i took out a guy who was prone shooting at me with an rpk at about 10m. no parachutes (although i am not a pilot so thats cool). if you zoom in with 3d map you can see the battlefield (as commander). the sniper rifles seem artificially inaccurate. tank takes damage driving over slightly bumpy terrain (huh - dirt hurts reinforced steel?). smaller maps (fewer players) should have vehcile restrictions. tanks and apcs should take 2 or 3 people to driver and shoot (eg for tank: 1 driver, 1 operates the main cannon and machine gun, 1 optional for roof gun).

i would like to echo the sentiments of those saying 1) a squad limit on weapon kits (1xsupport, 1xmedic,1x engi, 1xat, unlimited riflemen) and a limit on medic revives.

Probably a bug. The M16 seems to be excluded from the hotfix movement deviation update on the other rifles.

its a nzsas server. get a ping of 72 which is good enough.
