Sometimes, playing PR, I think I'm in a middle of a star wars battle. Watching videos on the internet I noticed that tracers are very present in a battle.
So I asked myself "Why don't I think the PR tracers are realistic?". Watching videos again and play playing again I came to the conclusion that the tracers in game are too thick.
They should be thinner than they are now.

thinner, maybe good idea, maybe it cud also cause trouble cause those traces aren't any bigger than 5px are they?
i think it does... but it probably does not because magnisium rounds are not bough by insurgents.

I'm gonna be honest the tracers just don't bother me. They seem pretty correct to me.

Some of the tracers look kinda large.
It might just be my graphics but when an RPG is shot at me I cannot see the smoke trail from it, but when I fire one it can be seen for miles.
Fixed. Learn2embed heheh <3 Okita BAHHH video doesnt even work...

Well Romagnolo, looks like you've finally said something intelligent
Agreed, they should be thinner. Shooting with an m249 is just like shooting with a Laser Blaster right now

One time people want more tracers, then they want less and smaller...

Why would people want more tracers? I've noticed many times how large the tracers are. Especially with the chinese weapons, it seems like I'm firing green lasers...

No no no, please, you understood me wrong. I am not that kind of person that never is satisfied. I already like PR how it is now, I've just gave a suggestion to improve the quality of the best mod for BF2 until now. And I don't want less and smallers tracers, just thinner.

Agree too, even though with small weapons the tracers are thick, thought that it could not be modified therefore I did not comment nothing before.

I want the tracers to bounce, like in the VBS2 video
I think the tracers are fine, but then again i have no military experiance

Overall I think tracers are ok. If they could ricochet off into the sky and all sorts we could look at refining them but I think its probably good as it can be at present?
Im not sure if its POE or probably Arma that the entire position of the machinegunner is lit up every time they fire, just from the muzzle flare. We dont have that and bf2 is graphically limited in lots of ways (especially for lots still playing on an old graphics card) so nice obvious tracers is good I think

Just wondered what the current thinking on this front is?

Not too big not too small, for me tracers are fine.

I think that current tracers are ok. The only thing that needs to be changed is the color of the green to a bit more yellowish tint. Right now the green feels more like from a star wars mod. Changing color is really easy. Check out the FAT green tracers
the tracers of small arms are fine, but i've always wondered about the tanks and apc rounds looking like a yellow drop. is that realistic? anyone have a video on apc and tank rounds in flight?
