So ive seen a few threads about sniping these last days and today i started a local server to test some sniper rifles out.
I have found sniper rifles of of dead bodies a few times and but never requested it since i tend to play a medic in an infantry squad most of the time, because i preform best in that role atm.
Moving on...i grab the M95 and headed over to the palace on al bashra to test the power of this crazy rifle.
The thing that struck me was that from about 50 yards i took 9 resp. 18 shots to take out a little red suicide resp. a white pickup.
I understand that its probably because of balance issues but isnt this rifle used to take on light armoured vehicles IRL or is it used on infantry as it seems its mainly used in PR?

I think there is issues somewhere down the line or I'm positive the DEVs would have included this. I would like to see the damage on light vehicles increased tenfold so it isn't used solely on enemy inf.

Damage to say, an engine block from a specific weapon is pretty much impossible to code in the BF2 engine, I believe. Because of that, anti-material weapons such as the M82 and M95 are more used as heavy-duty sniper rifles to equip a side with a third anti-infantry sniper than to knock out light vehicles and other assets.
