I'm betting within 7 days. At this point either the DEVs are screwing with us or they're ready to release, just waiting for the right moment. I'll vote for option 2.

Oooh. Difficult. I'd be leaning towards the 1. Since it's a day off. Then again, there is a reason why the entire world stops on the 1. Hangover. One could say, it is announced the 1, released on the 2, due to problems not available before the 3.

I'm feeling reckless. 30 simoleons on that scenario.

If the devs are so sure about the release date then I'm guessing its pretty done.

If its done I'm hoping they get it out for everyone to play new years day when everyone is just hanging out, which would mean a release on the 31?
