I was requesting a kit, then picked up my original rifleman kit and my ACOG scope (see pic) looked weird, my guess if its against the wall. I run all settings on medium except lighting on low.
Ok, another thing about ACOG, Do you also have this thing or it's just me? It appears in every graphic settings I've tried (all medium, all low and all high, AA off).

That's an ambient light collector. In daylight it will collect that light and use it to make the center of your crosshairs (red chevron) glow red.
That is a feature of most ACOG scopes.
In low light and at night, a mildly radioactive substance that glows in the dark called Tritium will light up the red chevron reticle.
The result of the clever combination of technologies is a scope that highlights your target without batteries, and because it does not ever have to be opened by the user, it's completely waterproof.
