Post by [T]MLPatriot »

Thought I'd let some of you guys know. Facebook has an active PR group with updated news and stuff. Has 86 members right now.. thought I'd post this and get some you guys to join. Let's make the group bigger.

it's not myspace.. in fact far from it. Facebook is more for keeping in contact with friends you haven't seen in a while.

Facebook is primarily for university students. I hope it has moderated access andpeople set their permissions correctly so you don't give away your lifes details to anyone joining the group!

Er... no. Facebook is a social 'keep in touch' place. You know, you log on and spread lots of pics and info about yourself and, preferrably, your little children, to make it easier for perverts to find you all? That kind of thing. Now don't spout such bigoted ignorance again :P .

Heh, tried to make a First Strike group on Facebook, but no one joined, so I shut it down. I agree Facebook has potential here. Lots and lots of people use it, so there's a good chance some people will discover PR through it.

C'mon man there is no denying it. Social networks like the two above have nothing different, just the name.

MySpace started off great.

Now it's full of emo whores who's names have hearts all over them, think they're cool setting their age as 70+, and also think it's wtfcool to take pictures where you can see their faces and feet in the same picture.

So, I stopped checking my MySpace (I only add people I KNOW on there, but they got sucked in with this emo bullcrap)

So, I went to Uni and opened a Facebook for networking. Since leaving uni (didn't enjoy it), I rarely check it because all I get when I do check is 20,000 invites to:

HotorNot
Flirtable
Car Freaks
Where Have You Been
Friend Comparison

GAH, it's annoying.

So I stopped checking facebook.

Facebook should give you the option to block all incoming Application requests. They're damned annoying.

I think you can block access to those applications, so they stop sending requests.
EDIT ... ^^ answer above anyway about the same time! Oops
