I liked everything besides the 203 part. Aren't they supposed to bounce...and thats it? Not bounce and then explode?

Edit: Oh, got that wrong. I like it since assault doesnt have regular grenades. Either way, it stops the point blank nading and remains a fun weapon (just imagine the possibilities now on maps like Karkand!)

so do they bounce only at close range? or is it like 1 bounce then explode? what about the arming delay I heard about?
If its 1 bounce then boom it still wont fix the close range problem. as you could fire it down and it will still explode within a few feet.
Anyone know for sure?

Most likely, it'll just bounce when its not armed. So when you fire short - bounce (then boom), when you fire long - boom. If they where really clever it should just go plonk at high angles (like 90), that way you couldnt bounce straight down and run away.

well bouncing is good, we just need to kill the smoke trail, and then make it so that if it ever 'bounces' once, its dead forever.

That brings up the idea of deployable machineguns.

Overall I must say it looks like a vast improvement! I think it's easily the most constructive patch yet!

And mortars ... and sandbags (you know you'd want to

) ... and pretty much anything else!
Really though, deployable MGs (the big ones, no more of this LMG stuff) and mortars would definately be a plus

I would like to see a supportclass which could choose between LMG and Mortar, like unlocks just without any need to unlock.

Uhh is BF2 your first time with the BF series?
Until bf2 all expacks mines and such could be picked up, dono why they took it out for bf2.
In Desert Combat at one point they had deployable sand bags, which were pretty cool but they eventually took them out. They also had anti personel mines that were like the size of a hockey puck and they were fuggin badass, sadly they were also removed from the game.

Yeah one of the BF42 patches messed things up and got the AP mines removed. At least of couple BF42 mods had deployable MG's. Most notably FH and DCR come to mind.
